DESIGN IN EDUCATION

Teaching design in the classroom encourages students to be inventive thinkers and creative problem solvers, motivating them to use both their mind and their hands to discover the potential of their imaginations.

The aim of each session is to further arts programming at schools, as well as to introduce design education where the time and cost to do so would not otherwise be possible.  Workshops are hands-on and are tailored to suit the needs of each particular classroom or production based on the goals of the instructor and the students.

As an experienced design instructor with over 7 years spent in the classroom and practicing in the field of design, Andy brings a method of creative teaching that encourages students to take control and work through ideas both individually and as a team.

Students are given the opportunity to apply the skills learned within a session to their current school production or simply to enhance their own learning through hands-on design workshops in the classroom.
